By accessing, browsing, registering, or using RentalDesk.co.ke, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

1. Definitions

  • User: Any person accessing or using RentalDesk.co.ke

  • Renter/Tenant: A user searching for rental properties

  • Landlord/Owner/Agent: A user listing rental properties

  • Platform: RentalDesk.co.ke website and related services

  • Listing: A property advertised on the platform

2. Eligibility

To use RentalDesk.co.ke, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information

  • Use the platform for lawful purposes only

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these conditions.

3. Scope of Services

RentalDesk.co.ke provides a digital marketplace that allows:

  • Property owners and agents to list rental properties

  • Renters to search, view, and enquire about rental properties

  • Users to communicate directly regarding rental opportunities

RentalDesk is not a real estate broker, agent, or property owner. We do not participate in rental agreements, rent collection, inspections, or property management unless expressly stated.

4. User Accounts

  • Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials

  • All activities performed under a user account are the user’s responsibility

  • Users must notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts involved in misuse, fraud, or policy violations.

5. Property Listings

For landlords, owners, and agents:

  • All listings must be accurate, truthful, and lawful

  • You confirm that you have the legal authority to advertise the property

  • Misleading, duplicate, or fraudulent listings are prohibited

  • RentalDesk may review, edit, reject, or remove listings at its discretion

RentalDesk does not guarantee tenant placement, occupancy, or rental income.

6. Tenant & Renter Responsibilities

Renters agree to:

  • Conduct their own due diligence before making payments or agreements

  • Verify property details, location, and ownership independently

  • Engage landlords directly for viewings, negotiations, and contracts

RentalDesk is not responsible for disputes, payments, or agreements made outside the platform.

7. Fees & Payments

  • Some services may require payment (featured listings, premium tools, or subscriptions)

  • Fees, if applicable, will be clearly communicated before purchase

  • All payments are non-refundable unless otherwise stated

  • RentalDesk does not handle rent payments between landlords and tenants unless explicitly offered as a service

8. Prohibited Activities

Users must NOT:

  • Post false, misleading, or illegal content

  • Use the platform for scams, fraud, or harassment

  • Circumvent platform systems or security features

  • Scrape, copy, or reuse platform content without permission

  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or legal action.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on RentalDesk.co.ke, including:

  • Logos, branding, designs

  • Text, images, software, and layout

is the intellectual property of RentalDesk.co.ke or its licensors. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution is prohibited without written consent.

10. Limitation of Liability

RentalDesk.co.ke is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis.

We shall not be liable for:

  • Losses arising from rental agreements or disputes

  • Property condition, availability, or accuracy of listings

  • Financial losses, damages, or claims between users

  • Technical interruptions, errors, or data loss

Users agree to use the platform at their own risk.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RentalDesk.co.ke, its owners, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from:

  • Your use of the platform

  • Violation of these Terms

  • Disputes with other users

12. Privacy

Your use of RentalDesk.co.ke is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to:

  • Suspend or terminate accounts without notice for violations

  • Remove content that breaches these Terms

  • Restrict access to protect users and the platform

Users may also close their accounts at any time.

15. Governing Law
